Jeepers creepers was released in 2001 and was directed by Victor Salva. The main image shows the killer and piece of tied skin (probably belonging to the victim) but the face of the killer is hidden and just the eye is shown instead, the colour of its eye and flesh is green which shows a deformity . We cant see much else other than that the skin is almost sewn together which could indicate some king of gore or disturbing images throughout the movie. The second movie shows some sort of wing with a human face pushing through, the face is presumably the victim with the wing belonging to the killer. The wing is almost satanic the way it has claws as supports and blood dripping through it.
Both the posters have a collage of dark reds and yellows, these colours depict a disturbing scene and can make viewers feel ill. There is also a lot of black as this colour represents evil and fear, based as a horror movie the poster needs to portray as much fear as it can as a still image.
The fonts used are custom made and reinforce the horror aspect of the movie, it’s the same font for both movies and both times it is placed at the near bottom so there is more room to emphasis what is happening in the picture. The tag line changes but the hint towards eating is heavily enforced as we see a lot of broken flesh and the tag lines stating ‘’what’s eating you’’ which is usually used to ask what is bothering someone, and the other ‘’he can taste your fear’’ which bodes well with the whole idea of human flesh eaters.
The movie is made for 15 years and older but seems that people because a lot of the younger ages watch these kind of movies and that more recent horror films have worse scenes I think the audience could possibly contain 12 year olds as the poster doesn't share the kind of gore that would class as serious movie for adults only, just as the older Godzilla movies were considered for adults then but kid friendly now.
